Privacy statement
AutoScript is designed around local browser storage and permission-on-demand website access. This page explains what the extension needs and where your information goes.
Stored locally
Scripts, command parameters—including local file paths—schedules, recent execution status, form profiles, preferences, password-lock records and license metadata are stored in Chrome's local extension storage on your device. AutoScript does not sync scripts, form-profile contents or page contents to the developer.
Website access
Manual runs and element picking request access only to the current website and any destination websites explicitly written in the workflow. Optional access to all HTTP and HTTPS websites is requested only when you enable an unattended schedule or choose it for a workflow whose destination cannot be known in advance. You can remove website access in AutoScript settings. Page content is processed inside the browser and is not sent to the developer.
Local file upload and debugger permission
Browser-level mouse actions and the Upload file command use Chrome's debugger API. For file upload, AutoScript assigns the absolute path you provide to a page file input. It attaches only for the requested step and detaches immediately. The developer does not receive the path or file. The destination website receives the selected file through its normal upload control and handles it under that website's privacy practices.
Pro purchase and license validation
Free use does not require an account. If you activate Pro, AutoScript sends the license key and an extension-generated device instance identifier and name over HTTPS to the AutoScript license service at richbirds.net. The service validates the license with Lemon Squeezy and returns product, plan, subscription status and relevant dates. Releasing a device sends the license key and instance identifier to Lemon Squeezy's license API. License metadata is stored locally. Lemon Squeezy handles checkout, payment details, taxes and subscriptions; AutoScript does not receive your card details.
Exports and passwords
Script export is optional. When you choose a password, the file content is encrypted locally using AES-GCM with a key derived through PBKDF2. AutoScript does not store or recover your export password. Keep a safe copy: a lost password means the encrypted export cannot be restored.
Website and contact
The product website and license endpoint may produce ordinary server logs such as IP address, time, requested path, response status and browser information for security and operation. If you email support, the information you send is used to answer your request.
Control and deletion
You can edit or delete scripts and form profiles, remove granted website access, release a Pro device, or uninstall the extension. Uninstalling normally removes local extension storage, but it does not cancel a Lemon Squeezy subscription. Export anything you wish to retain before uninstalling.
